Lacrosse, North America's oldest team sport, was first played by Native Americans, particularly the Haudenosaunee (also known as the Iroqouis).  It is one of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S. 
Gar-Field boys Lacrosse is a spring sport that competes in the Cardinal District and made the playoffs for the first time in over a decade in 2023 and 2024. The team requires no previous experience with Lacrosse and is looking for athletic guys who want to try something new.

  • Cleats 
  • Mouthguard
  • Lacrosse Stick (Can borrow from team)
  • Lacosse Helmet (Can borrow from team)
  • Various body pads (Can borrow from team)

Head Coach: Jonathan Flores

Coach Flores is entering his fourth year as the head coach of the Boy's Lacrosse team. He has been with the program since 2016 when he began teaching at Gar-Field. Coach Flores teaches History and Leadership here at Gar-Field. He is a graduate of Mary Washington University where he played collegiate lacrosse.

Assistant Coach: Joe Pouliot

Coach Joe is a graduate of Gar-Field and was a member of the lacrosse team. He is also Gar-Field's head Golf coach.

Assistant Coach: James Greenfield

Coach Greenfield is in his third year with the Boy's Lacrosse program. He is also an history teacher here at Gar-Field and an assistant coach for the girls field hockey team.

Coach Romero is a graduate of Gar-Field and played on the lacrosse team. He is also the head wrestling coach at Gar-Field.
