On Saturday June 7th, Joshua Kai Smith defended his State Championships in the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. In the 110 meter final he recorded a time of 13.39s which broke his fourth school record and broke the Virginia State Meet record. Additionally, Joshua Kai tied the school record for the 100 meter dash during his qualifying heat. 

Also at the State Meet, Tomell Grady finished 8th in the 300 meter hurdles earning himself All-State honors.
