Greetings Students and Parents!

My name is Lauren Miller and I am the Art Department Chair at Gar-Field High School. This is my eleventh year teaching, and have taught all grade levels from Preschool to High School. My background as an artist is in photography, both digital and film, sculpture, and painting, although I dabble in a bit of everything. I am inspired by a wide variety of things but my students are my most incredible success stories. This is my second year at Gar-Field and I have enjoyed every moment of my time here. I get to lead an awesome team of educators and artists and am thrilled to teach alongside them. This year I am teaching four sections of Photography I, a section of Art III, and IB Art.

I live all the way in Culpeper Virginia with my husband and our two dogs Cocoa and Bellamy. We share a deep love of art, music, and all things creative. When I'm not inspiring kids, and exposing them to new and astounding art, you can find me collecting records, challenging myself to learn something new, or hiding away with a book. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
