Hello!  I am John Ruf, your PLTW and Art teacher. I am an architect with a graduate degree in history, and a license in both Art and Technology Education. After twenty years in architectural practice, I embarked on a new calling teaching Design, Engineering and CAD. I love teaching--it is incredibly rewarding and deeply satisfying to me.  My wife and I live on a farm in Culpeper. We love to cook together and enjoy shopping at the local farmer's market. For relaxation, we are usually to be found riding our horses.  I am very excited about the opportunities this program affords scholars, and I look forward to getting to know you all much better over the next few months!  Please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions as we proceed through the course.   Regards,   John Ruf, RA CTE Department Chair PLTW Lead Teacher Sea Perch ROV Coach NTHS Faculty Sponsor   Gar-Field IB High school
