The PWCS Robotics program can continue to grow only with the support of our community. Thank you for considering volunteering your time to support robotics which gives our students hands-on experience with Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) opportunities. Go to the Prince William County Public Schools Robotics Volunteer Opportunities for 2019-20 page for the latest ways in which you can volunteer. Ms. Gordon

I am John Ruf, your PLTW teacher. I am an architect with a graduate degree in history. After twenty years in architectural practice, I embarked on a new calling teaching Design, Engineering and CAD. I love teaching--it is incredibly rewarding and deeply satisfying to me.  My wife and I live on a farm in Culpeper. We love to cook together and enjoy shopping at the local farmer's market. For relaxation, we are usually to be found riding our horses.  I am very excited about the opportunities this program affords scholars, and I look forward to getting to know you all much better over the next few months!  Please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions as we proceed through the course. Regards, John Ruf, RA CTE Department Chair PLTW Lead Teacher Sea Perch ROV Coach Gar-Field IB High school
